This series will include discussions of covers by theme, covers by seasons, cover reveals, cover changes, covers of a series, spines, typography + etc. I’m not trying to be shallow, but a pretty cover will definitely catch my eye better than a plain cover. But, first impressions DO matter, at least to me. As a book lover, judging a book cover is a must-do! Of course, beyond the cover we have to consider the content + more. Yes, I buy multiple copies of books to get matching covers. Yes, sometimes I don’t read a book because I don’t like the cover. Yes, sometimes I buy books solely because of their beautiful cover.
